"A genetic algorithm is a metaheuristic inspired by the process of natural selection".
I've always been curious about genetic algorithms but my assumption that the learning curve would be very steep has kept me from checking them out.
I recently saw a video from Daniel Shiffman which gave a very straight-forward overview using a simple example: from a population of 'individuals' with random 'DNA', can we evolve towards a pre-determined phrase?
